Yes. Apologies for not making it clearer.
Let's try again:
HostA:xterm1$ xhost +localhost
HostA:xterm2$ chroot $LFS/bin/bash
HostA:chroot$ export DISPLAY=:0.0
xterm Xt error: Can't open display: :0.0
HostA:chroot$ export DISPLAY=HostB:0.0
HostB:xterm3$ xhost +HostA

Alas, no. I used the "different host" approach today, but while a 'make
test' of PMW (Python Megawidgets) was running, HostB died horribly. No
idea whether it had something to do with the test, but the machine froze
completely. So, not even that did really work.
BTW, ssh does work for me, no problem with that.
