If the keymap includes another keymap and searches for it in the current 
directory, defkeymap.map.gz can't be a symlink to that first keymap if it is 
placed in another directory. Some solutions:

1) We state explicitely the keymap name in the loadkeys script.
2) We use /etc/sysconfig/keymap to define the default keymap.
3) We use a symlink to the default keymap, but we leave it in the same 
directory. kbd will find it anyway.

I vote for 1.
