Maybe I have missed some important tidbits from the lfs-support list - I 
haven't kept up with that list much during my absence (to my regret). As far 
as I know the only issue with the mtab symlink is that loopback handling with 
the /bin/mount program doesn't work as nicely as it could be. Is there more 
then that I'm not aware of? Personally I've been using this symlink and I 
have yet to find the first problem with it, other than the known loopback 
issue.

Sure not a problem. Btw current bootscripts is 1.10, not that it has a lot of 
fixes (sadly speaking just one very minor one, that's all I could do).
