Summary: Document the contents of the "functions" file
           Product: LFS Bootscripts
           Version: CVS
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: LFS
        AssignedTo: lfs-book at linuxfromscratch.org
        ReportedBy: patrakov at ums.usu.ru
         QAContact: lfs-book at linuxfromscratch.org

I think that the bootscripts package lacks the documentation needed for one to
write his own additional LFS-style bootscripts. Of course we have this
one-liner:

# Stops a process if it is running

above the killproc function and a usage statement inside it, but the main
signal and fallback concept is documented nowhere. Also remember the mysql
stop initscript problem - it is documented nowhere why killproc would be wrong
for mysql. One writing additional initscripts must base his expectations not
on the implementation, but on documented interface. Currently this is
impossible because there is no such documentation.
