Summary: coreutils' uname patch breaks build on non-x86 platforms
           Product: Linux From Scratch
           Version: SVN
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5
         Component: Book
        AssignedTo: lfs-book at linuxfromscratch.org
        ReportedBy: cunnilinux at bigmir.net
         QAContact: lfs-book at linuxfromscratch.org

when trying to build coreutils with uname patch applied on non-x86 machine
(powerpc in my case), the build stops with error message complaining about come
unknown or unsupported assembler features.

when building coreutils without this patch, everything is ok.
