#2186: /dev/kmsg as a static node?

 Reporter:  alexander at linuxfromscratch.org  |       Owner:  lfs-book at linuxfromscratch.org
     Type:  defect                          |      Status:  new
 Priority:  normal                          |   Milestone:  7.0
Component:  Book                            |     Version:  SVN
 Severity:  normal                          |    Keywords:

 Udev-122 contains the code that opens /dev/kmsg and writes a string there
 at startup. Obviously, this can work only if /dev/kmsg is created as a
 static node.

 {{{
 patrakov at home:~$ ls -l /dev/kmsg
 crw-rw---- 1 root root 1, 11 May 21 19:25 /dev/kmsg
 }}}
