Did you re-run LILO? Sounds like what happens when you just name the new
kernel the same thing as the old and just copy over. Running lilo again
should fix it if that is the case.

Subject: Boot problem "ran out of input data"

Hi

I recompiled my kernel after adding few modules in menuconfig. And now I
can't boot my system.
When I boot my LFS system I receive the following message (after the
"uncompressing linux kernel..." message)

ran out of input data
-- System halted

and then nothing happens.
Anyone know what might be wrong?

Thanks.
Shlok
