Installing Binutils in chroot'ed environment

LFS-Book 2.4.3


When I compile the binutils in the chroot'ed environment (Chapter 6), I
get the following message:

des-2.10.so -o .libs/libopcodes-2.10.so
/usr/bin/ld:disassemble.lo: file format not recognized ; treating as
link script
/usr/bin/ld:disassemble.lo:2: parse error
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [libopcodes.la] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/binutils-2.10/opcodes´
make[2]: ***[all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: leaving directory `/usr/src/binutils-2.10/opcode´
make[1]: ***[all-recursive-am] Error 2
make[1]: leaving directory `/usr/src/binutils-2.10/opcode´
make: ***[all-opcodes] Error 2


I using the following commands:

../configure --prefix=/usr --enable-shared &&
make -e tooldir=/usr &&
make -e tooldir=/usr install
