Hi,

Just a quick note about the MCONFIG file for util-linux-2.10o .
The example in BOOK-2.4.2 apparently uses the same file from
util-linux-2.10m as a basis instead of the one from util-linux-2.10o .

The "if; then" construct is different from the one in the book's example.

from util-linux-2.10o:
<snippidy do da>
# Different optimizations for different cpus.
ifeq "$(ARCH)" "intel"
  ifeq "$(CPU)" "i386"
    OPT=        -pipe -O2 -m386 -fomit-frame-pointer
  else
    OPT=        -pipe -O2 -m486 -fomit-frame-pointer
  endif
else
  ifeq "$(ARCH)" "arm"
    OPT=        -pipe -O2 -fsigned-char -fomit-frame-pointer
  else
    OPT=        -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer
  endif
endif
</snippidy do da>

Hope this helps! :-)
