problem on reboot

That did it!

Of course now I am getting other errors concerning my inittab. :) But I
think I can fix that problem. Thanks!

No, the dash is not right. Was $LFS/proc mounted whan you ran the
MAKEDEV 
script?

outside chroot run:

     mount proc $LFS/proc -t proc

enter chroot and run:
	cd /dev
	./MAKEDEV -v generic

see if all is ok now and if you end up with a console instead of just
having 
console-
