I was using 2.4-test8 for a while, and I now I'm using 2.4-test10 (which
came out Oct. 31, BTW) and I haven't had any problems using it with LFS
2.4.2 so far.

Subject: Kernel 2.4

Gerard and helpers: Are there any plans for kernel 2.4? Has anyone
tried it yet? What changes in packages and build methods are needed
to make it work?

I'm interested because I'm building "industrial linux", a server
distro that has security, reliability, and performance as it's main
goals, and I'd like to make use of
kernel 2.4's Netfilter/iptables capabilities. After 40 years, I've
*finally* learned that sometimes it's okay to benefit from someone
else's experiences!

If you don't have any plans, please let me know why you're *not*
considering it; I think that would be a valuable discussion, too.
