This is a good idea, whenever you do an LFS build, just make sure all
your hardware is compiled in the kernel (aka monolithic) as you have
less problems(well ofcourse, unless you really know what your doing :)
dunno.. just modules aren't good for certain things
(ext2, scsi, ide support, etc :)

Allthough do make sure you take the time or at least enable module
support, i'm stuck with my main box w/o module support right now
(allthough, that could be looked at as a good thing security wise for
the veryveryvery paranoid amongs't us :) as this sucks when you want to
try adding support like Samba and NFS filesystems, etc and you would
have to break your nice uptime.

Gladly i will be redoing LFS on it and going RAID1 and and.. *mumbles
away*
