/dev/psaux is the right device file for PS/2 mice. You can create
it with the mknod command:

# mknod -m 444 /dev/psaux c 10 1
# ln -s psaux /dev/mouse

Read `man 1 mknod` and /usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt for
further information.
