/etc/issue

This is the file that contains : Welcome to <whatever> Linux blah blah blah
before your login prompt.

I've added:

Welcome to my LFS system. Kernel /r (/l)

the /r gives you the running kernel number and the /l your current tty.

My question to you is: This works fine, until you get a failed login, it
then gets displayed as it is in the issue file without replacing /l and /r.
Is this a login problem or is there a fix available?

Thanx
T
