I've just discovered LFS and read (quickly) through the book.
I've noticed that there doesn't appear to be any recommendation of
creating a separate /boot partition near the beginning of a disk, to
ensure it's within the first 1024 cylinders.
I believe this restriction no longer applies to recent versions of lilo
used with recent motherboards, but in general isn't it safer to do it?
Or am I totally confused as usual?
