Preparing kernel sources and symlinks.

In chapter 5 (book 2.4), when the kernel is installed you have to create
some symlinks. One of those symlinks is the following:

ln -s ../src/linux/include/asm asm

My question: why creating the symlink to '../src/linux/include/asm' and not
to '../src/linux/include/asm-i386' ? I always used asm-i386 and I
encountered no problems. Just a question of curiosity.
