Hang on reboot after installing kernel

I got to the chapter on Installing a kernel and ran into a booting problem.

My start-up distro was Slackware 7.0 (kernel 2.2.13). I tried to install the
2.2.16 kernel. Everything appeared to go well until I rebooted. This is what

Here is a snip of my /etc/lilo.conf

I followed the instructions to the letter. What could be wrong?
