glibc segmentation fault

I delved into this a bit further and found that the file it is calling,
/mnt/usr/src/glibc-build/elf/ld-linux.so.2, links to ld.so in the same
directory. If I run ld.so in that directory without any parameters, I also
get "Segmentation fault" so I am assuming that this compiled incorrectly.

I also tried installing the ld.so directly from the ld.so package using "sh
instldso.sh --force", and it put an ld.so in my /lib dir.. which I then
copied over to /mnt/usr/src/glibc=build/elf, but then when I tried to
compile I got an error even earlier while it was trying to compile some DB2
stuff.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
