NTFS problem

yes I did set the proper permissions with chmod/chown. Like I said, mounting
VFAT partition using the same logic worked. That's why I was wondering if
there was a bug in NTFS support.

Even though you gave rw permissions in fstab, did you make sure the
directory had write permissions on it for the intended users
(chmod/chown)?
