/dev/null under devfs (was Re: perl problem)

Think about it: you were chrooted. You didn't boot a devfs-enabled kernel. 
You were still using your initial distro kernel. If you had booted LFS, it 
would've probably worked.

What I recommend when doing a devfs system is still doing the MAKEDEV part, 
or simply copy you distro's devs to your lfs partition (since you will delete 
them anyway) for the chroot part.
