Some browsers have a very bad tendency when downloading files to
gunzip them (*points at Netscape*) so it would mess up some users, so
Gerard bzip2' them instead, but has since not yet released a new book,
it is known to the Author and (most) of us on IRC.

No worries, thx for pointing it out on the mailing list though,
hopefully this will not come up every few days ;)

They link to .patch.gz right now, next release will be fixed and linked
to .patch.bz2, there never were nor are any plain jane .patch files ;)

That would not solve the problem in the book, which is the problem, no?
