exactly.
i didn't install texinfo and gettext, and configured everything with
--disable-nls. i also deleted /usr/info, since i didn't want to have
i18n or info pages on the machine.
others want to have that stuff, so i agree to generally install packages 
completely.

btw, the only packages that couldn't be compiled with the default procedure
were console-tools and -data. it was no problem to change into the
subdirs and make the tools "manually", though.
