glibc configure hangs

I found the problem! 

My CFLAGS was "-O3 -mcpu=i686 -march=i686" after
changing it to just "-O2" and recompiling gcc
everything is just working fine!

But the thing is I never had this problem with gcc
2.95.2. So is this a bug in 2.95.2.1??
