I know it will if you use patch the way you normally do. Add "-F 10" ...
This was discussed on this list. Seems to be a problem in diff or
patch. Usually one would create a patch using "diff -Naur orig.dir
patched.dir > patch". However, the created patch can't be applied to
the original ncurses-5.2 sources. Instead of "-u" I had to use "-U
10". Perhaps it would work without this option. Using patch without
"-F 10", though, doesn't work. Don't know whose fault this is ;)
