locales

Yes, how about a "no-i18n" hint? I only speak English. :-) What if you
omit the install-locales part of glibc, omit gettext, and compile everything
with --disable-nls? Would that break anything? Would it leave any other
unnecessary bits laying around?

Subject: locales

After serious troubles I finally got glibc compiled and installed. The
installation of all the locales seems a bit spurious to me though. I mean,
living in the Netherlands it seems highly unlikely that I will be needing
locale data from, lets say, Zaire, right ?

How do I know which ones to install, and which charset to use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

regards, Rolf
