problem compiling Bash statically

I just tried an LFS system with gcc-2.95.3 and glibc-2.2.3 and bash
compiled fine inside chroot.

So leads me to ask: when you finished compiling bash in chapter 5, did
you remove the bash source tree, or did you reuse it?
