SIOCSIFBRDADDR: Cannot assign requested adress

I'm sure that it isn't a driver problem, since if no driver were present, it 
would say: 
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth0: unknown device

So, you either have the wrong driver, or the wrong IP number.
