man & shared memory

Hi,

just installed LFS-3.0PRE1 and everything went great, except for two minor
glitches:
1. man doesn't work. when i try to open a man-page, i get this:

(root at pigforce):~# man less
sh: -c: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `)'
sh: -c: line 1: `(cd /usr/man ; (echo ".pl 1100i"; cat
'/usr/man/man1/less.1'; echo ".pl \n(nlu+10") | /usr/bin/tbl |
/usr/bin/groff -Tlatin1 -mandoc | )'
Error executing formatting or display command.
System command (cd /usr/man ; (echo ".pl 1100i"; cat
'/usr/man/man1/less.1'; echo ".pl \n(nlu+10") | /usr/bin/tbl |
/usr/bin/groff -Tlatin1 -mandoc | ) exited with status 512.
No manual entry for less

the manuel-page does exist, so that's not the problem. looks like there's
some sort of error in de script.

2. shared memory isn't displayed correctly when using 'free' or 'top'. i
think i remember something about this on the list, but i'm not sure. is it
a gcc problem? is there a solution?

Hanne.
