No, it _MAY_ work fine. It might even work fine for all the packages
in the book. But it is NOT _guarenteed_ to work fine. If the package
isn't done just right, you will have problems. If you simply delete
and re-unpack the source, you will not have problems. Guarenteed.
That is why both the book and faq advise that you never trust "make
*clean". They speak from experience.
