Separate host partition and lfs partition onto two machines

Another way is to place host system on a CD-ROM on lfs system machine.  The CD-ROM's task is install lfs system on lfs partition.  But not sure current redhat still support the bootable CD-ROM or not.  May be someone can point out where to find document to do that.
