Newbie Problem: Keyboard "return" not working at logout

Thanks everyone who responded.  I did manage to get it working again,
although I still do not know why it happened.  All I did was reinstall the
lfs bootscripts, and the problem disappeared. So maybe it was just some
little bug in them.  Thanks everyone!
