glibc 2.3.1 and -fomit-frame-pointer

2.2.4 (which is what I'm running) works flawlessly with
-fomit-frame-pointer.  the CFLAGS which I use to compile EVERYTHING is 

"-O2 -march=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer"

Never had a single problem.

But, ymmv as always :)
