By the looks of it, those perl scripts are only used to format the man
pages incorrectly incase you do not install groff. I install them with
something like:

for i in linuxthreads/man/*.man; do
  j="${i##*/}"; cp "$i" "/usr/share/man/man3/${j%man}3"
done
