Bug in net-tools' build system?

Actually, investigation of the Makefile from net-tools shows that the only 
difference between make config and just "make" is that make config does a 
rm -f config.h

Since this file doesn't exist in the newly unpacked distribution, there 
should be no problems unless you are re-using the source directory from a 
previous build/install.

To be honest, even the "make" stage appears superflous, since the make 
update target includes "all" as a dependency, and should perform the 
necessary steps. I'll just go and test that now...

Yep...issuing *only* a 

    	yes "" | make update

from a freshly untarred source works as expected (answers the questions 
with defaults, compiles and installs fine).

Adminttedly the defaults do not install mii-tools, which I think was the 
original problem discussed in the thread mentioned in bugzilla, but in that 
case answering the questions manually, or doing a

    	yes "" | make config
    	echo "HAVE_MII=1" >> config.make
    	make update

will fix that...

Just my 2 cents (less tax + inflation)
