And the Debian 3.0-something I installed on my dads new PC the other day
is apparently unable to manage a full compile of X, something even a
**BASE** LFS can manage.

No thanks. Let the Distros do what they like. We should do what is right
for *US*.

PS. My dad will be doing LFS, but hes a newbie at this.
