Problems with Pure LFS

Hi,

i'm currently trying to compile a new LFS based on CVS and with the
Pure LFS Hint applied. My host distro is LFS 4.0.

All went quite well until i approached the installation of texinfo
in chapter 5. "make" needs autoconf version 2.54 or higher to work.
LFS 4.0 uses version 2.5.3. After updating my host distro and running
"aclocal", "autoconf" and "automake" several times i finally got a bit
further but not too much:

if gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I../intl    -g -O2 -MT xstrdup.o -MD -MP -MF ".deps/xstrdup.Tpo" \
  -c -o xstrdup.o `test -f 'xstrdup.c' || echo './'`xstrdup.c; \
then mv ".deps/xstrdup.Tpo" ".deps/xstrdup.Po"; \
else rm -f ".deps/xstrdup.Tpo"; exit 1; \
fi
xstrdup.c:30:20: xalloc.h: No such file or directory
xstrdup.c: In function `xstrdup':
xstrdup.c:37: warning: passing arg 1 of `strcpy' makes pointer from integer without a cast
make[2]: *** [xstrdup.o] Error 1

Now i'm really stuck and i hope that you guys can help me.

Chris
