I suggested that during the peak of the grub-lilo war, but the argument 
was that it doesn't make LFS independent of the host. My logic was to 
use the bootloader offered by the host system since it was already 
installed in the MBR and for the first boot the LFS anyways uses the 
host bootloader. Tons of bootloaders could be added to the BLFS book 
giving the users an option and keeping everyone happy:-)
