No, because it requires sysfs. However, the kernel on the boot CD is
going to have to be 2.6 to be able to build NPTL anyway, once a book
with NPTL (6.0) is released, so it's not as big of an issue once the
boot CD gets to that point.

DEC NICs use the tulip kernel module. ;-)
