I've used a Slack 9.1 system upgraded to a 2.6 kernel manually as my most
common build platform lately.  I'm going to be starting another build
tonite for my new Dell laptop, so I'll keep everyone posted on what
happens for me.  But, I haven't seen the same errors that Bruce is seeing.
