Before you kill the filebuf_members.exe process, can you check in its
/proc/PID/fd directory, to see which files it has open when it's hung?
/proc/PID/status might also be interesting (the State: line). Also
maybe a pstree, to see if it has any children hanging out there (and the
file handles and status for each of them).
Most of the symlinks in those directories will likely be "broken" (since
the files that the process had open are deleted), but take a look at
where they point anyway. The name of the target of the last one or two
file handle symlinks should tell us which individual test is hanging.
