That makes no difference, linuxthreads is still a posix threads
implementation, setting -lpthread says "use libpthread"
which in this case is linuxthreads.

2.4.x would still use raw kernel headers. A note would have to be
supplied to packages which have patches for dealing with 2.6.x headers
that the patches are not required.
