linux-gate.so is not related; it is a virtual library created by the 2.6 
kernel and used by current glibc for making system calls into the kernel 
(among other things).

On an LFS testing or unstable system, _every_ executable will appear to 
be linked to this library, it can be treated as if it was part of glibc
