I'm for it.  As requested, a simple "YES".  This is a good thing as we
get to mention login.defs and give a quick intro to what it provides.
The default path is a great example....however I will make an attempt to
see the other side. :-)  So lets mention that it's optional.
Configuration?  Yeah if it goes in it'll be enabled by default.  What if
the necessary defines are in place in login.defs but cracklib does not
exist...and on support we hear 'but the book said I could skip it...'
:-)  Like the other 'optinal' packages (where you never see the word
optional), the choice is there if you know what you how to handle it,
but LFS can not and should not provide options unless absolutely necessary.
