Yup. You can get more debugging information from udev by setting

udev_log="debug"

in /etc/udev/udev.conf.

You could also compile you kernel with CONFIG_NETDEBUG (Networking-->
Networking Options) but then your logs will probably be crammed with
similar warnings/errors in no-time. Logrotate is not a bad idea here.
