That was one of the things which drove me to play with console
fonts (the other was poor coverage for what I was likely to
encounter). Please see

you want wide coverage and don't mind a font that is less bold than
the usual vga fonts.

I don't know what the problem is with the version at lfs (I'm
assuming it's a configuration issue), but another copy is at
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/zarniwhoop/console/uk-utf.map
For anybody arriving here from google (hey, you never know!) - this
only works with kbd, not with console-tools.
