Hey there,

i wan't to submit the patch

because I get'nt clear through Chapter 5.7 (also S support mailing list- most
of others didn't do

Every time i tried to install 5.7. Glibc-2.8-20080929 i got the following:

/tools/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcc_eh
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [/mnt/lfs/sources/glibc-build/iconv/iconvconfig] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
make[1]: *** [iconv/others] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
make: *** [all] Error 2

The directory contains

I did an symlink to /home/Druckerfehler/lfs-packages/glibc-2.8-20080929
as /mnt/lfs/sources/ of the following reasons:
- I have not enough space to build it directly on /mnt/lfs/ (i want to save
- Just wan't to keep a backup of these downloaded files
- Jus't have to "rm -r" the folders where i did a compile procedure
- Mounted (as slightly mentioned before) a file as a filesystem with the help
ov /losetup /dev/loop0 ...
- Can't create a partition (sincy i have three primary partitions, which take
the whole place, and don't want to change them)

Now I'm on Part 6.25 and nothing seems to be wrong with that patch.. im using
a cat /proc/version
"Linux version 2.6.26-3.slh.1-sidux-686 (Debian 2.6.26-21) (s.l-h at gmx.de) (gcc
version 4.3.1 (Debian 4.3.1-9) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Aug 20 23:56:34 UTC 2008"
wich didn't work, until this patch, from a real and a virtual machine, using
the same os,... :-(

But this helped me...

Btw I'd appreciate if youl'd make a notice to this patch in that (and the
other chapters as well) in chapter 5.7 of LFS 6.4...
