You don't say what version you are rendering.

In any case, there are a couple of scripts, make-aux-files.sh and 
aux-file-data.sh that adjust the md5sums when the book is run.

Do the md5sums in your copy of the book match those of the bootscripts and udev 
tarballs that are generated?
