Nope, although you do have to make a few adjustments.  The package user
hint details most of the required adjustments, at least for an older
book version (6.0, I think).

Of course, the package user hint assumes you *want* the installed files
to be owned by the package user, instead of root.  I'm not sure how well
its set of adjustments will apply if you do "make install" as root.

(But the builds themselves work fine.  :-) )
