hmmmm.

searching for "inetutils" in the search-box i couldn't see it.

checking the mentionned 8836 i could see the change.

if you don't know it's changed in 8836, you can't find it. maybe i'm to
dumb to get the right way, but i really couldn't find it, except by
reading all entries which are shown when searching for "inetutils" in
the search-box. (ok, for this example the second fits...)

i'm used to check the changelog every now and then to update my scripts.
up to now i had no problems with this approach.

i can't remember to have read anything about the log/trunk is available
in the wiki, otherwise i might (parhaps) have been able to find it myself.


conclusion / request:
add a paragraph in the top of the changelog telling how to use the wiki
log/trunk to get some more details.

knowing about this wiki entries makes my life a lot easier (at least
concerning lfs ;) ). up to today i checked the changes by eye (i don't
have to tell about how often i overlooked a small but nasty detail...)

in the future i won't read the changelog. i just go to the wiki, "browse
source" and then "revision log". (i just bookmarked the wiki /lfs/log
and /blgs/log...)
