Conversely, doing a fresh LFS build, I've had no issues yet.  Chapter 6's
GCC has just finished building and is running through its testsuite now.

It'd be interesting if you could figure out what caused your issue.
Equally of interest would be if someone could verify that building a
GCC-4.4.1 based LFS-6.5-RC1 from an LFS-6.4 host works OK.
